Program Description
Boxing is a combat sport in which two opponents, typically wearing protective gloves along with equipment such as hand wraps and mouthguards, throw punches at each other for a set duration inside a boxing ring.
Often referred to as “the sweet science,” the Combat Clinic’s boxing program covers all aspects of the sport, including footwork, head movement, proper defense, and the body mechanics needed to deliver fast, powerful punches.
Equipment Requirements:
- Boxing gloves are required.
- A mouthguard and hand wraps are recommended.
- For sparring, 16oz boxing gloves and a mouthguard are mandatory. Hand wraps, a protective cup, and headgear are recommended.
- Boxing shoes or wrestling boots are permitted but not required. Running shoes are not allowed on the mats.
